PLACE Workshop combines landscape architecture and urban design to shape the spaces where people live, move, gather, and experience the public realm. Together, these disciplines address both the physical structure of outdoor environments and the human experience within them—from intimate residential landscapes to complex civic and urban systems.
Landscape architecture focuses on the design of land, terrain, vegetation, materials, and environmental systems. Urban design extends that lens to the broader public realm, considering how streets, parks, open spaces, and infrastructure connect communities and support daily life. At PLACE Workshop, these disciplines are inseparable. Each project is approached as a holistic composition of form, function, movement, and atmosphere.
Our Approach
Our team collaborates closely with clients and stakeholders to take a balanced, comprehensive view of the opportunities and constraints inherent in each site. We begin by understanding existing conditions and clarifying project goals, then develop multiple schematic design concepts for review and discussion.
Through an iterative process informed by client feedback, we refine a preferred direction into a detailed design. We guide clients through design options, materials, and costs before preparing clear, biddable construction documents. Throughout construction, we remain actively involved—observing progress, responding to field conditions, and resolving challenges to ensure design intent is realized.
